"Jamaica" above the Jamaican Coat of Arms - A male and female member of the Taino tribe standing on either side of a shield which bears a red cross with five golden pineapples. The crest shows a Jamaican crocodile mounted on the Royal Helmet of the British Monarchy and mantling. At the base is the Jamaican national motto: "Out of Many, One People"
The denomination and year at the bottom. The coin is round, but the inside border is scalloped.
Reverse
Bust of George William Gordon turned to the right but facing forward.
