Obverse
In the center, the National Shield (Mexican Golden Eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a snake) in sculpted relief, with the inscription “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” (UNITED MEXICAN STATES) forming a semicircle above it.
Reverse
The inner part of the coin features the Belisario's bust, rounded by the legends "Enriqueció a la Patria" above head, and "1863-2013" below Mexico's mintmark (M°) in the right flank. In the outer ring’s upper margin there is the legend "Belisario Domínguez". On the left side of the coin there is the legend "100 Aniversario Luctuoso", and in the right side "150 Aniversario de su Nacimiento". And in the lower margin or exergue, the denomination $20. The coin’s outer ring bears quadrangular and triangular friezes.
