In the centre – the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it – the semicircular inscription «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim - on top: «ДВА РУБЛЯ» (TWO RUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre - the year of issue «2007 г.» (2007), to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
In the centre – the image of M.M. Gerasimov at work on the man’s sculptural portrait, before him – a sketch and a sliding callipers, to the right on the matted surface: above - dates in two lines «1907» and «1970», lower - the inscription along the rim: «М.М. ГЕРАСИМОВ» (M.M. GERASIMOV); to the left in the background – four sculptural portraits.
