On the mirror field of the disc – the relief image of three members of the expedition uploading a boat moored to the sea coast, ashore – a group of aborigines, in the background to the right – the picture of a sailing vessel against the background of the geographical map of the end of the Eurasian continent with Sakhalin and Kuryle Islands, above along the rim – the inscription "ЭКСПЕДИЦИЯ Г.И. НЕВЕЛЬСКОГО 1848-1855" (RESEARCH EXPEDITION OF G.I. NEVELSKOY 1848-1855).
