In the center — the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it — the semicircular inscription: “БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA)], to the right under the eagle’s paw — the mint trade mark; on the top along the rim — the denomination: “ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ” (FIVE RUBLES); on the bottom of the coin — two horizontal lines divided by a dot and the year of mintage under it.
Reverse
In the center, a little to the left — denomination of the coin: the figure 5 and word under it “РУБЛЕЙ” (RUBLES) written horizontal; below along the rim and on the right part of the disc — the stylized vegetable ornament in form of a branch with two interwoven caulescents.
