Description:
Obverse
Depicts the relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia - the two-headed eagle with wings down, and the semicircular inscription under it "" (BANK OF RUSSIA), framed by a circle of beads. The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ" (TWENTY FIVE ROUBLES) and the year of issue "2014", between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the Saint Petersburg mint trade mark and the fine precious metal content.
Reverse
In the centre, on the mirror field of the disc – a scene of laying by four workers a section of railway track from the track plotter, to the left below – the date "1974", on the bottom, on a matted sector of the disc – a scheme of the Baikal-Amur Main Line with the abbreviation "БАМ" (BAML), underscored from below by the inscription along the rim: "НАЧАЛО СТРОИТЕЛЬСТВА" (START OF CONSTRUCTION).
