In the center – the representation of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Saviour which was founded by St Euphrasyne of Polatsk; beneath – an inscription: СПАСА–ПРААБРАЖЭНСКАЯ ЦАРКВА (THE CHURCH OF THE TRANSFIGURATION OF THE SAVIOUR); on the left – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus, beneath – an inscription: РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS) engraved in two lines, and at the bottom – alloy standard; and on the right – the coin’s denomination: 1000 РУБЛЁЎ (1000 RUBLES); and beneath – the year of issue.
Reverse
The gold–plated relief image of the Cross of Euphrasyne of Polatsk studded with artificial gems of different colors; and to the left and to the right of the image of the Cross – vertical inscriptions: КРЫЖ ЕЎФРАСІННІ ПОЛАЦКАЙ 1161 (THE CROSS OF EUPHRASYNE OF POLATSK 1161).
