Description:
Obverse
On the coin obverse a composition is depicted which personifies a patriotic, heroic and romantic trend in the creative work of Fedkovych: a horseman holding a hatchet in his hand defending swallows from a bird of prey. To the left from the composition there is the coin mintage year: 2004, under which there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine; to the right there is a three-lined conventionalized inscription : УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) and the coin face value: 2 ГРИВНІ (2 hryvnia).
Reverse
On the coin reverse there is a portrait of Yuri Fedkovych, to the right from which an inscription ЮРІЙ ФЕДЬКОВИЧ(Yurii Fedkovych) and his years of life: 1834 - 1888 are depicted.
