Obverse
On the coin obverse there are depicted carpets with the traditional Carpathian ornamentation patterns together with the Small State Emblem of Ukraine (above) and the semicircular legend Національний банк України (National Bank of Ukraine) on the right; below there are the face value 2/ГРИВНІ (2/Hryvnias) and the coin issue year 2009 together with the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint (on the left).
Reverse
On the coin reverse there is depicted a Transcarpathian holding a flag with the coat of arms of Carpatho-Ukraine; there are the legend: 70/РОКІВ (70/YEARS) under the flag and the semicircular inscription on the left: ПРОГОЛОШЕННЯ КАРПАТСЬКОЇ УКРАЇНИ (Proclamation of the Carpathian Ukraine).
