Description:
Obverse
In the square there is depicted an allegoric scene of the opening of the Olympic Games: two female figures dressed in tunics are holding a cup with flame and laurel branches, the symbol of peace. Above the square there is engraved the small National Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: on the silver coin: УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) (above), 10 ГРИВЕНЬ (10/ Hryvnia) (beneath), 2003 (on the left), as well as the designation of the metal, its fineness and its weight in fineness.
Reverse
In the square there is represented a helmet boxer. Around the square there are the following inscriptions: ІГРИ/ XXVIII ОЛІМПІАДИ (Olympic Games) (above), OLYMPIC GAMES/ XXVIII (beneath), АФІНИ 2004 (to the left), ATHENS 2004 (on the right).
