Obverse
The obverse of the coin features the logo of the Bulgarian National Bank with the years ‘1879’ and ‘2004’ inscribed on the ribbon. Written in circumference is the text ‘BULGARIAN NATIONL BANK’, the nominal value of the coin ‘10 LEVS’ and the year of issue ‘2004’.
Reverse
The reverse of the coin features an effigy of Saint Nickolas the Miracle Worker of Myra and Lycia after the effigy of a bulgarian icon, with a partial gold finish and the text ‘СВЕТИ НИКОЛАЙ МИРЛИКИЙСКИ ЧУДОТВОРЕЦ’ (SAINT NICKOLAS THE MIRACLE WORKER OF MYRA AND LYCIA) written in circumference.
