Description:
Obverse
On the coin obverse within the bead circle there is depicted the small National Emblem of Ukraine, above which there is 2005, the coin issue year; between the bead circle and the coin rim there are inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) - above, 2 ГРИВНІ (2 hryvnias) - beneath, as well as Au 999,9, the designation of metal (on the left), 1,24 g, its weight in fineness and the Mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine (on the right).
Reverse
On the coin reverse there is a golden plaque depicting a relief sideview figure of a Scythian horseman, which was found in 1830 during archeological excavations of Kul-Oba burial mound near the city of Kerch.
