Obverse
On the coin obverse in the upper part the Small National Emblem of Ukraine is depicted, under which in the right part the inscription НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ / БАНК / УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) is placed against the glass background. Below, against the background of a conventionalized circle there are the inscriptions: 2 ГРИВНІ/ 2007 (2Hryvnia/ 2007) and the NBU Mint logotype.
Reverse
On the coin reverse Les Kurbas is portrayed against the conventionalized geometric decorative pattern used in poster design in the 20's of the XX century; above, to the left, there is the year of birth – 1887, below, to the right, the year of death – 1937, underneath – diagonal inscription – ЛЕСЬ КУРБАС (Les Kurbas).
