Obverse
In the upper part the Small National Emblem of Ukraine is placed, under which there is an inscription “НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ” (National Bank of Ukraine) and a conventionalized image of a space rocket before launch. Below there are inscriptions 2 ГРИВНІ / 2007 (2 hryvnias / 2007) and the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
Reverse
Serhii Koroliov is portrayed surrounded by conventionalized stars, to the right of the portrait the years of his birth and death “1907 - / 1966” are placed, to the left of the portrait – his signature facsimile, below – the arciform inscription: “СЕРГІЙ КОРОЛЬОВ” (Serhii Koroliov).
