Description:
Obverse
On obverse of both coins there are above - the Small National Emblem of Ukraine, under which there is the inscription - НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК/ УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine), elements of the conventionalized ornament are depicted diagonally, to the left - the coin face value: on the silver coin - 5 ГРИВЕНЬ/ 2006 (5 Hryvnia/2006), designation of the metal Ag 925 and its weight in fineness; On the coin there is also the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
Reverse
On the coin reverse there is a portrait of Mykhailo Hrushevsky, to the left there is the vertical inscription: МИХАЙЛО/ ГРУШЕВСЬКИЙ (Mykhailo Hrushevskyi), beneath there are the years of life: 1866/ 1934.
