Description:
Obverse
These commemorative coins are dedicated to one of 12 Zodiac constellations – Leo.
On the obverse in the center of the circle there is a conventionalized image of the Sun, on the left, on the right, above and underneath whereof – four lighted by it spheres symbolizing the seasons. To the left of the circle there is the Small National Emblem of Ukraine, to the right – the coin issue year: 2008, as well as the indication of the metal, its fineness – Ag 925, and the coin weight in fineness – 15.55; there are circumferential legends: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) above and 5 ГРИВЕНЬ (5 hryvnias) below, as well as the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
Reverse
On the reverse a conventionalized image of a lion with stars around it is depicted, to the left whereof is the shape of constellation, above the lion the Sign of Zodiac symbol is placed, on the right there is a stylized inscription: СУЗІР’Я/ЛЕВА (Leo Constellation).
