Description:
Obverse
The coin features, in a gold-plated medallion, a plastic interpretation of a medieval miniature – the death of Tsar Samuil. Underneath there is the logo of the Bulgarian National Bank and the year ‘1879’ inscribed on the ribbon, along with the nominal value of the coin ‘10 ЛЕВА’ (BGN 10) and the year of issue ‘2013’. (Bulgarian National Bank) goes in circumference.
Reverse
The reverse features, in an inner ring bounded by a dotted rim, a scene from a medieval miniature – a battle between the Bulgarian and the Byzantine armies. (Tsar Samuil) are inscribed in circumference along the edge.
